Holiday Cottages

Holly Grove Cottage is a pretty 17th Century semi-detached cottage with a wealth of exposed beams. It has been lovingly restored and makes an ideal venue for a stay in our lovely Shropshire countryside.

The Old Granary is a lovingly renovated, semi-detached barn conversion, decorated and furnished in charming cottage style, this delightful accommodation retains much original character, including oak floorboards, a wealth of exposed oak beams and supports, and a cosy woodburner in the first floor sitting room.

Parkgate Cottages consist of two small cottages fully equipped for two people. These are single storey units converted to a high standard from a barn. Both the properties are well insulated having double-glazing throughout. The stone walls keep in the warmth on chilly days and keep you cool and out of the heat on scorching hot days. Heating is by efficient night storage heaters. All accommodation is on the groundfloor; it is ideal for anyone who can walk but can’t cope with stairs.

The Old Workshop is located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the foothills of the Long Mynd - just 6 miles from Church Stretton and 8.5 miles from Shrewsbury, between the villages of Pulverbatch and Picklescott. It has a delightful, large galleried bedroom with exposed oak beams and trusses, and a spacious open-plan living area with a woodburning stove and a comfortable dining area and fitted kitchen.

Bed and Breakfast

At Lane Farm you are guaranteed a warm welcome and pleasant stay that is often repeated by guests. The farmhouse is a character property with heavy oak beam ceilings throughout. Two rooms, a twin and a double, are available to guests. Both are en-suite and offer private residence away from the main part of the house.

Upper Shadymoor Farm nestles among woodlands and streams with outlooks from the house capturing woodland glades reminiscent of its time as a medieval deer park. The farm house has undergone extensive renovation and offers three en-suite rooms, one double and one family, both with balconies; plus a twin room with luxury en-suite facilities.

Within five miles, Lyth Hill House is a luxury B&B with heated indoor swimming pool, ground-floor en-suite rooms, one with whirlpool bath. Ample car-parking. 5 miles south of Shrewsbury, panoramic views, lovely gardens.

Other Accommodation

Budget accommodation is available nearby at Bridges Youth Hostel, a small hostel that was once the old village school hidden away in the Shropshire hills. Walkers will love it here, with the Shropshire Way passing close by and paths leading you to Long Mynd and Stiperstones.
